With Airtender vacuum storage solutions you can create a vacuum in wine bottles by removing the air. This removes the oxygen that is one of the main causes of flavour loss. Less oxygen means less oxidation, which results in a longer shelf life and a longer retention of flavour and aroma.
Some types of wine are more sensitive to oxidation, and so is older wine. The rule of thumb is that vacuum makes it possible to save wine 5x longer.
Yes, vacuum storage works for all wines: red, white and rosé. However, vacuum does not work for sparkling wine.
There are quite a few advantages of the Airtender wine storage solution compared to other brands.

Airtender has two types of vacuum indicators: one in the vacuum pump and one in the Nanostopper itself. When you pump, you will hear a clicking sound that indicates that the bottle is sufficiently vacuum sealed.
The second indicator is in the Nanostopper itself. When it’s completely flush on the bottle, that means that the bottle is vacuum sealed. If the upper part of the stopper is raised above the bottle opening, it means that the vacuum has been released. Unlike with other wine stoppers, you can instantly check the vacuum.. How convenient is that?
Almost completely. The Nanostopper can be rinsed in the dishwasher or under the tap. The outside of the Vacuum Pump can be rinsed with a wet cloth.
Yes, the Nanostoppers are reusable and diswasher safe. The have been designed and engineered to be used over and over.
And, did you know that the Nanostopper vacuümstoppers are universal? You can use the same stopper and vacuum pump to vacuum seal jars* and wine bottles!
